What If You Could Add Your Opt-in Form to Any YouTube Video?

Interesting question isn’t it?
I have to believe the answer is you would get a lot more opt-ins if you could include a form at the end of your own videos or any YouTube video.
There is a new tool out called Magic Video Player that allows you to easily add an Autoresponder form (like Aweber) to the end of your own videos or any YouTube video. Once the form is embedded into the video you can place the video on any blog or website by simply copying and pasting some code.
I just downloaded it today and will begin testing it this weekend. It’s only $19 so I figure I don’t have much to loose. Plus, if it works it will be money well spent.
Here’s the link if you want to give it a try. http://1cat.biz/mvp

WordPress – It’s Not Just for Bloggers Anymore
January 25, 2008 by 1Cat.biz · 10 Comments
I’ve been a webmaster for over 12 years. And in that time I’ve used just about every HTML editor, CMS and page generator that was ever released.
Today, I use WordPress to develop 99.5 percent of the website projects I work on. The SEO, Web 2.0 and content management features make it so easy to deploy and market websites there’s really no need to use anything else. Almost anything you could want from a website can be easily plugged into WordPress.

If Keyword Research is So Important Why Aren’t You Doing It?
January 14, 2008 by 1Cat.biz · 16 Comments
I’ll be the first to admit it. In the past I haven’t always done proper keyword research for my blog and Internet marketing projects. I’m guilty of assuming that just because I think something is a good idea and I search for it then other people will as well. Heck, I’ve built entire websites and done launches based on “hunches” or “instinct” only to find out later, when doing my keyword research, that very few people are searching for the phrases I optimized for.
Now, before you start laughing too loud and labeling me a complete dumb a%# ask yourself this, “How much do you know about the keywords in your niche?” Read more
Is Google AdSense Still a Good Way to Monetize Your Blog?
January 9, 2008 by 1Cat.biz · 3 Comments
Google AdSense has been around for years. And even though there’s not as much buzz about it as there has been in years past it’s still one of the easiest and most effective ways to monetize your blog.
Of course it depends on your market and what other monetization options are available to you.
For example if you are in a tech savvy market your readers may be less likely to click on AdSense ads than non-tech savvy readers.
You may have access to excellent affiliate programs in your niche that convert and pay well. In that case it makes more sense to promote those affiliate offers and make a higher commission, or even a re-occurring commission, than it does to give away traffic to a lower paying AdSense click.
It may be that a combination of affiliate ads and AdSense works best to monetize your blog.
The best way to find out what works for you in your niche is to do some research and testing.
