While doing a little light Sunday morning reading I came across this unbelievable article on improving your conversion rate.
The article itself is titled "101 Easy Ways to use Google Website Optimizer". Don't let the title fool you though. The lessons taught in this article can be applied by anyone doing business online. Not just those who use Google Website Optimizer.
It's written by "The Conversion Rate Squirrel" which I suspect is really Dr. Karl Blanks. (Who really is a rocket scientist.)
Anyway, if you want some great tips on improving your conversion rate and marketing your website in general then I highly recommend this article.

WordZe $14.95 special - Good until March 24th
A couple of months ago I did a post on keyword research and in it I introduced a new keyword tool called WordZe.
Since then I've been using WordZe almost everyday. Really, once you understand the value of having at least a basic knowledge of keyword volume, history and trends you will start to use this tool for even day to day tasks to enhance your search engine rankings and traffic by targeting words that people are actually searching for.
Online Marketing - Where Do I Start?
March 1, 2008
I recently received this question on one of my YouTube blog marketing videos.
"I feel I am cut out for working in marketing, public relations and sales although, I'm stumped from there. What percent of marketing is online and how do I get started? - Fudruckus"
Well, Fudruckus, if that is your real name,
I honestly don't know what percentage of marketing is done online but, I think it's safe to say - A TON!
If Keyword Research is So Important Why Aren't You Doing It?
January 14, 2008
I'll be the first to admit it. In the past I haven't always done proper keyword research for my blog and Internet marketing projects. I'm guilty of assuming that just because I think something is a good idea and I search for it then other people will as well. Heck, I've built entire websites and done launches based on "hunches" or "instinct" only to find out later, when doing my keyword research, that very few people are searching for the phrases I optimized for.
Now, before you start laughing too loud and labeling me a complete dumb a%# ask yourself this, "How much do you know about the keywords in your niche?" Read more

4 Reasons Product Launches Annoy the Living Daylights Out of Me
October 9, 2007
Internet marketing product launches annoy the living daylights out of me.
Here's why:
1. You get hammered with all these emails, mostly from the usual suspects, deliriously ecstatic about something they have never, and will never use.
2. 99% of the ballyhoo surrounding the big grand opening has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE QUALITY OR VALUE of the product.
3. Ridiculous artificial deadlines, bonuses for action in the first 5 minutes, 10 minutes, etc. I personally think this is only to give them bragging rights to their buddies.
How ethical is it to not give digital bonuses to your customers who paid the same price.
Which brings me to…
If I had to start over today what type of site would I build?
April 26, 2007
Hand built websites, page generation systems, blogs, article site deployments - I've built them all. The rules have changed in how search engines look at a web page (search engines don't rank "sites" they rank pages) so marketers have kept working at tools that let us build sites fast and add features that will increase conversions and get search engine traffic. If I had it to do all over again - I would have created an Authority Site:
