Thanks Barry, I'll take a look

BTW, does anyone know any good sites/tutorials on producing different video quality for different media? For example we want a high quality version that we can burn to DVD, and a lower quality that we can post to sites like YouTube (and, probably, a medium quality version on our own site!)

Cheers, Jon

It just depends on the type of video you are creating. If you need control over the exact placement of certain video elements, slides and audio then Animoto is not going to work for you and you should use Camtasia.

But if you want to make a quick video with slides and cool effects then Animoto may work for you. Once you try it out you'll quickly see the difference.

Thanks for the tips. A quick question if I may?

We've already bought Camtasia Studio to produce videos. We've been able to fairly easily put together a free video to give potential clients a sample of our products for beauty salon owners - using Powerpoint, plus Camtasia. Is it still worth trying out Animoto? Is there anything extra it offers?

Thanks, Jon

I found Animoto last year and let me tell you it is awesome! Last week I updated to pro account and can't wait to start producing some videos. For $35 / year, it's almost like they are giving it away for free. :)

This is an extremely cool video you made - and the Animoto is a great discovery - thanks for taking the time to make it.

I think a lot of people are stuck on how to do video for their blog or authority site and it really doesn't get any easier than this!

1Cat.biz is an excellent resource and I am blatantly promoting you by telling everyone who reads this to subscribe to your email feed and don't miss any of your great content!
